New laboratory facilities

Xpress Precision Engineering has opened a new laboratory facility in its R&D building in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. The laboratories will be used for research & developement for current and future products, especially in the field of tactile probing.

The air temperature inside the laboratory is controlled to 20 plusminus 1 degrees Celcius. The calibration setup for the ultra precision Gannen probes is positioned in an enclosure, which shields the setup from thermal, acoustic and vibrational disturbances. The temperature inside the enclosure is stable to better than 0,1 degrees Celcius.

"The location of this facility on the campus of the Eindhoven University of Technology further improves the close collaboration with the university", says dr.ir. Bos, CTO of Xpress Precision Engineering.
